Moving from The Evergreen State College to Knoxville has necessitated some changes to the structure of the conference:
Lodging will be located in downtown Knoxville at the Marriott, Hilton and Tennessean hotels. A grab-and-go breakfast will also be provided by the conference Monday through Thursday.
Shuttle buses will be provided at the start and end of each day of the conference to transport attendees from the hotels to the conference venue and back (the distance is ~1.6 mi/2.6 km). Lunches will be provided Sunday through Thursday at the UT Gardens (weather permitting) – which is a short walk (~0.3 mi/0.5 km) from the main conference venue.
Dinners, aside from the Wednesday gala, are not included in the conference package.
Hotel Shuttle Bus Schedule
A shuttle service will be provided between the Tennessean and Marriott hotels, and the conference venue in the Agriculture and Natural Resources Building (2431 Joe Johnson Dr.) from Sunday through Thursday.
Shuttles will pick up attendees in front of the Maker Exchange on World’s Fair Park Drive, downstairs from the main entrance to the hotels on Clinch Ave.
Transportation will be a van organized by the conference on Sunday, and a UT transit bus Monday through Thursday.
Parking
Parking for personal vehicles will be handled through the UTK ParkMobile system. Please use this interactive map to locate parking near the conference venue (Agriculture and Natural Resources Building, 2431 Joe Johnson Dr.)
If you require special accommodations and need parking closer to the building to reduce walking, please contact us.

The hotels are located in the heart of downtown Knoxville, offering walking-distance access to a wide range of dining options in both downtown itself and the Old City.
