GMO, NON-GMO, VALIDITY & ALLERGEN PREVENTION CONTROL: Discovering what's in your food, how to make proper labels and forming prevention controls
Program
This one-day session will include highlevel representatives from state and federal public health officials, the food industry, food manufacturing and retail. Speakers will provide their perspective on genetically modified organisms, allergens, as well as the implementation of proper food labeling, food claims and spotting food fraud. There will also be a Q&A panel.
Objectives
• Attendees will be able to understand the difference between non-GMO and GMO foods.
• Attendees will be able to understand the impact of food allergens and how they affect the body.
